Overview
A highly motivated, organised, customer-focused Weekend Supervisor to oversee weekend sales ensuring the smooth day to day running of the store. A genuine team player - someone who'll fit right in and get on well with a small, close group.
No prior spearfishing, foraging or free diving experience is required, but a love of the ocean and outdoors is desirable. Full paid training will be provided, but a willingness to learn, communicate well and get stuck in is essential.
Hours of Work:
Summertime: Friday, Saturday, Monday 08:00 to 16:00 or 10:00 to 18:00 & Sunday (May to August) 09:30 to 16:30
Wintertime: Friday, Saturday, Monday 08:30 to 16:30 or 09:30 to 17:30
Duties
- Oversee weekend sales: maintaining and updating systems, managing returned orders in line with company policy, etc.
- Supervise the weekend store assistant, monitor performance and quality standards.
- Provide responsive, high-quality customer service across all communication channels to consistently meet our customer needs.
- Resolve customer complaints quickly and effectively to ensure a satisfactory customer experience.
- Conduct weekly handover meetings with the Store Manager to review weekend operations.
- Handle cash and card transactions, processing payments, stock checking and stock replenishment.
- Maintain a welcoming atmosphere while managing seamless, behind-the-scenes efficiency.
- Accurately pick, pack, and process e-commerce orders for timely dispatch.
- Ability to complete basic workshop tasks (essential) and advanced workshop tasks (desirable)
- Ensure the store remains clean, tidy, and organised throughout the day.
Skills & Experience
- Retail or customer service experience
- Supervisor experience (preferable)
- Reliable, highly organised, a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage administrative tasks seamlessly.
- Proven experience working within a fast-paced environment.
- Adept at juggling tasks and confident with systems / stock control
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build quick rapport with customers and provide tailored solutions to customer needs / complaints.
- Ability to complete practical tasks or a willingness to learn
- Flexible to cover holiday when needed
- Interest in the outdoors, the ocean or sustainable fishing is a bonus
