We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes, maintaining kitchen standards, and supporting the overall operation of the kitchen. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook dishes according to specified recipes and standards, ensuring presentation and quality are maintained.
- Oversee specific sections of the kitchen, such as grill, pastry, or sauces, ensuring smooth operation during service.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in line with regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the training and supervision of junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Manage stock levels within your section, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
- Ensure cleanliness and organisation of your designated area before, during, and after service.
- Collaborate with the head chef and other team members to plan menus and develop new dishes.
- Support meal preparation for special events or banquets as required.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a similar role within a busy restaurant or hotel environment.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary practices.
- Experience with food safety standards and HACCP procedures.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Formal culinary training or relevant qualifications are preferred but not essential for highly experienced candidates.
