Full job description

Overview:
MIL Collections is a dynamic and positive workplace in the heart of Truro. We're looking for a confident, motivated individual with transferable skills to join our Specialist Team. You'll manage accounts, contact customers to recover arrears, and aim for the best outcomes daily.

Training will be provided. However, successful candidates will already show the key attributes and skills to succeed. Our Training and Development manager will be on hand to praise, encourage, and guide you through your initial weeks and months at MIL Collections Ltd.

Key Responsibilities:

Contact customers to negotiate payment terms and resolve arrears.
Manage assigned accounts with care and professionalism.
Adhere to compliance, GDPR, and quality standards.
Achieve and exceed weekly targets.
Work independently and as part of a team.
Participate in training for ongoing development.

Skills & Attributes:

Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Positive and professional communication, even in challenging conversations.
Goal-driven with a focus on meeting targets.
Accurate data entry and basic IT proficiency.
Experience in telephone communication (preferred but not essential).

Pay & Benefits:

£14.00 per hour + £1.00 per hour Training Supplement (for the first 3 months, subject to performance)
£15.00 - £25.00 per hour upon successful completion of training programme

Working Hours:

Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM.
Saturday shifts (1 in every 4), 9:00 AM–1:00 PM.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Expected Hours: 37.5+ per week
