Care Worker (£14.11/hr)

Full time and part time positions available.

Responsibilities and Duties

This fulfilling role involves the person-centred care of service users in their own home. This role will involve personal care, light domestic duties and companionship including outreach working.

There are full and part time positions available in addition to relief work from our location in south central Cornwall (Predominantly PL25 and TR2 area) . Both full and part time staff are expected to work alternate weekends as part of a rota system with your colleagues. Please note we can discuss what shift patterns are preferable, as long as it covers the requirements for this role.

We welcome applications from both those who wish to start a new and fulfilling career and those with experience of working as a carer. Don’t worry if you haven’t any experience in providing care, at least half of our workforce was new to this career. We take pride in our staff having a passion for their job.

Qualifications and Skills

Essential requirements

Full driving licence with a car
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability for flexible working
Caring nature
Team working
The ability to work positively, with good humour
Willingness to learn to improve service delivery
Take responsibility for actions and plan effectively to deliver results

Desirable

NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
First Aid certificate
The ability to develop knowledge as required by the role
