Full job description

MRT Accountants is a fast-growing independent firm of accountants and business advisors who love working with owner-managed businesses.

We are looking to recruit Audit and Accounts Trainees into our vibrant and fun-loving team in Saffron Walden. Ideally suited to someone wanting a career in accountancy and wishing to gain experience and qualifications as an apprentice, as an alternative to university.

The role: will involve a variety of different assignments which include, the preparation of statutory accounts and associated tax compliance work as well as assisting on audit assignments across an array of clients.

Skills and attributes of the ideal candidates:

You will have a winning mentality and are happy to take on early responsibility.
You will have an outgoing personality with great communication skills and be able to build strong relationships.
You will have an inquisitive mind and an aptitude for problem-solving.
You will be interested in business, eager to learn and can demonstrate leadership qualities.
You must be reliable, organised and able to meet deadlines.
Excellent numerical and IT skills.

Minimum requirements (grades + right to work)

2 A-levels (grade A-C) and 5 GSCEs (grade A-C/4-9) including English and Maths, or equivalent qualifications.
