About Us

We are a leading fresh produce business specialising in the growing, harvesting and packing of high-quality salads and vegetables. Operating across our farms and packhouse, we are committed to innovation, efficiency and sustainability.

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Agricultural Engineer to join our engineering team, ensuring our machinery and equipment are maintained to the highest standard to support our farming operations.

The Role

You will be responsible for the maintenance, repair and servicing of a wide range of agricultural and horticultural equipment, ensuring maximum reliability and minimum downtime.

Key Responsibilities

Service, maintain and repair tractors, harvesters, cultivation equipment and farm machinery.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic faults.
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
Respond promptly to machinery breakdowns during busy production periods.
Prepare machinery for seasonal operations.
Maintain irrigation and pumping equipment where required.
Assist with packhouse machinery maintenance when needed.
Fabricate and repair machinery components using welding and fabrication techniques.
Keep accurate maintenance records.
Ensure spare parts are managed effectively.
Work closely with farm managers and production teams to minimise downtime.
Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety regulations.
Support continuous improvement projects to increase equipment reliability and efficiency.
Essential Requirements
Previous experience as an Agricultural Engineer, Agricultural Mechanic or Plant Engineer.
Strong mechanical and hydraulic fault-finding skills.
Experience working on tractors and agricultural machinery.
Good understanding of diesel engines.
Ability to read technical manuals and diagrams.
Welding and fabrication experience.
Full UK driving licence.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexible approach during seasonal peak periods.
