Locum Consultant Radiologist (Breast Imaging) – 6 Month Fixed-Term Contract
We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a Breast Locum Consultant Radiologist to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract, providing maternity cover. Posts are available for an immediate start.
You will become part of a growing and forward-thinking Consultant team, reflecting the increasing demand and expansion of our imaging services. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a high-performing department committed to delivering outstanding patient care.
Working closely with the wider multidisciplinary team, you will provide a high-quality diagnostic breast imaging service, supporting both screening and symptomatic pathways. You will play a key role in maintaining clinical excellence, ensuring accurate diagnosis, and contributing to effective patient management.
We are seeking a committed and motivated Radiologist with expertise in breast imaging, strong clinical skills, and a collaborative approach to teamwork.

Contribute to development of the specialist breast imaging service to support the Trust in ensuring provision of high quality diagnostic support throughout the week including sessions in ultrasound & cross-sectional imaging.
Work flexibly with colleagues to support the timely management of emergencies and inpatients.
Participate in multi-disciplinary clinical meetings (MDT).
Contribute to the development and maintenance of clinical protocols.
Ensure that standards are maintained and developed through clinical audit, evidence- based research and appraisal
