Senior Academic Administrator
In this permanent full-time role, you would be a senior member of the University of Greater Manchester's 20-strong Academic Support Service, contributing to the effective management and organisation of administrative functions to support academic programmes. Team members in this role provide leadership and motivation in collaboration with academic and professional colleagues to ensure that an excellent quality of provision of administrative services is achieved and maintained at all times. The post holder will coordinate a complex range of activities to maximise resource utilisation and added value.
This particular vacancy will be focused on senior academic administration of the Pre-Registration Nursing programmes. This involves working with programme teams as well as specialised Nursing-specific external partners. Senior Administrators also have significant involvement in Special Circumstances, Fitness to Practice and administration of Academic Malpractice meetings. This demanding role requires a confident, organised and experienced administrator who thrives on communicating well and working with others.
All post holders are required to take ownership of their own performance and the relationships they build with students, partners, the public and colleagues, demonstrating a positive attitude and commitment to their work. They are also expected to supervise and mentor other administrators in their immediate team.
All post holders are required to work flexibly and to work across the university and the service as demand necessitates.
We are looking for a candidate with in-depth knowledge of academic administration, ideally with knowledge of SITS and able to demonstrate a highly professional attitude with on-campus and partnership colleagues.
