Lead Major Infrastructure Projects That Help Create a Safe and Secure World

The role

As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You'll provide strategic leadership across multiple infrastructure and construction projects, ensuring successful delivery against cost, schedule, quality and performance objectives. Beyond project delivery, you'll play a key role in developing project management capability, driving governance excellence, and influencing decisions at a senior level.

Day-to-day you'll be required to:
Leading the delivery of multiple concurrent construction and infrastructure projects across the full project lifecycle.
Managing, coaching and developing Project Managers and wider project delivery teams to achieve outstanding performance.
Driving project governance, assurance activities and the review of key project plans, reports and deliverables.
Engaging with senior internal and external stakeholders, acting as an escalation point for project risks and programme-level decisions.
Overseeing portfolio planning, resource allocation, forecasting and financial performance across a range of projects.

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at Rosyth.

Essential experience of the Senior Project Manager

Significant experience delivering large-scale construction and infrastructure projects across the full project lifecycle.
Proven track record of managing multiple projects, programmes or portfolios with accountability for cost, schedule and quality.
Demonstrable experience leading and developing Project Managers or project delivery teams.
Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial frameworks, including NEC, JCT or FIDIC.
Experience operating within regulated environments with strong knowledge of compliance, health, safety and quality requirements.

Qualifications for the Senior Project Manager

Degree in Construction, Engineering or a related discipline.
Professional membership with a recognised institution such as CIOB, RICS, CIBSE, APM or equivalent.
Formal Project Management qualification such as APM, PRINCE2 or equivalent.
SMSTS certification or equivalent construction site management qualification.
IOSH qualification or equivalent health and safety certification

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
