Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Procurement and Tender Assistant to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills and an interest in procurement, logistics, and tender processes to develop their career in a fast-paced and supportive environment.
In this role, you will support the day-to-day procurement function, coordinate logistics activities, and assist in the preparation and submission of tenders. You will work closely with suppliers, freight partners, and internal teams to ensure the smooth flow of goods, accurate system management, and timely delivery of key business activities.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement
- Create and process purchase orders in line with procurement procedures
- Track supplier orders and ensure deliveries are received on time
- Maintain and update product and supplier records in the ERP system (SAP)
- Support forecasting and stock monitoring across warehouses
- Assist with stock takes and inventory reconciliation
Logistics
- Obtaining freight quotations and coordinating shipment bookings
- Arrange shipment bookings and coordinate delivery schedules
- Handling import/export documentation and customs paperwork
- Liaise with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal teams
Tender Support
- Maintain the internal tender documentation library
- Assist with preparing tender submissions by gathering product information
- Supporting submission deadlines and compliance requirements
- Helping position products within tender frameworks
Export Support
- Provide administrative support for export-related sales processes when required
Skills and Experience
Essential
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience working with ERP systems (SAP experience advantageous but not essential)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Proactive and self-motivated approach to work
Desirable
- Experience working with tender documentation
- Knowledge of procurement, supply chain, or logistics processes
Requirements
Full and clean UK driving licence.
