Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Administrator / Credit Controller to join our team on a fixed-term basis for 12 months, covering maternity leave, with the potential for a permanent position for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting finance and administrative functions within our organisation, managing credit control processes, assisting with the day-to-day administration of the sales ledger, and helping to maintain accurate financial and administrative records. Based in our busy factory office, this role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your skills in a dynamic environment, ensuring smooth operations during this period.

Duties

General office administration and data entry, supporting the day-to-day administrative operations of a busy factory environment.
Provide administrative support for the sales ledger, including maintaining accurate customer account records and processing relevant paperwork.
Manage and monitor the organisation’s credit control procedures, ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices.
Assist with sales ledger and customer account queries, ensuring information is accurate and up to date.
Processing paperwork and maintaining accurate records.
Answering telephone and email enquiries.
Providing administrative support to the wider team as required.

Qualifications

Previous administration experience is essential.
Credit control or sales ledger experience is preferred.
Strong data entry skills with high accuracy levels.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
Excellent organisational skills and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
Previous experience working with Sage favourable.
A positive, proactive attitude with strong attention to detail.

12-month maternity cover contract
Part-time hours: Monday to Thursday, 9:00am – 3:00pm
