Full job description

About the role

We’re looking for a friendly/reliable and organised Bookkeeper (AAT Level 2 or above) to join our small team in Woolston.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a close-knit environment and wants a varied, hands-on role where they can take responsibility for day-to-day bookkeeping and support the wider team.

You will be working closely with the team to keep financial records accurate, up to date and well organised.

Key responsibilities

Day-to-day bookkeeping and financial administration
Processing sales and purchase invoices
Bank reconciliation and maintaining accurate records
Managing accounts payable and receivable
Recording payments and receipts
Assisting with VAT returns and month-end processes
Preparing basic financial reports and information
Maintaining organised accounting records
Liaising with customers and colleagues when required

About you

We’re looking for someone who is:

AAT Level 2 qualified or above (an absolute requirement)
Experienced in bookkeeping (not an absolute requirement )
Accurate and detail-focused
Well organised and able to manage their own workload - does not need micro-managing
Comfortable working with numbers and financial information
Reliable, approachable and professional
Happy working as part of a small team, where everyone gets involved
