Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of sandwiches according to established recipes and customer specifications
- Ensure all food preparation adheres to food safety and hygiene standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area throughout shifts
- Serve customers promptly and courteously, assisting with their orders as needed
- Manage stock levels of ingredients, notifying management when supplies are low
- Upsell additional items, such as drinks or snacks, to maximise sales opportunities
- Follow time management practices to ensure orders are completed efficiently during busy periods
- Assist with general kitchen duties, including cleaning utensils and equipment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation or working within a restaurant environment is desirable
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is essential
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and portion control
- Experience in kitchen operations or culinary arts is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly attitude towards customers
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
