Location: Hubbards Traditional Butchers, Moreton Hall Bury St Edmund’s Hours: 7.15 am - 4.00 pm Tuesday to Friday 7.15 am - 2 pm Saturday (16-18 years old legal working hours restrictions apply)
Pay: Competitive Apprentice Wage depending upon age of applicant

What You Will Do:
Learn traditional meat cutting, breaking down, trimming, and preparation techniques including sausage making.
Set up attractive counter displays for our daily customers.
Maintain strict food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards.
Deliver excellent, friendly service to our local community.
What We Are Looking For:
We welcome applications from three main paths:
School Leavers / Young Applicants: Must hold at least 4 GCSEs at Grade C (Grade 4/5) or above, including Maths and English.
Career Changers & Older Applicants: Mature individuals looking for a hands-on, stable trade. Life experience and a strong work ethic are highly valued.
Working Parents: Reliable people looking for stable, predictable hours to balance with family commitments.
Personal Traits Required:
Punctual and reliable (early morning starts are part of the trade).
Comfortable working in cold environments and handling raw food.
Eager to learn, patient, and detail-oriented.
