Job Summary - JOINERY BASED WORKSHOP
We are seeking a dedicated Workshop Foreman/Woman to oversee daily operations within our workshop environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, technical knowledge, and leadership qualities to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality output. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for mechanical work and team management to contribute to a dynamic team.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate workshop activities, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely
- Assist with the assembly, repair, and maintenance of equipment using hand tools and power tools
- Monitor work progress and provide guidance to team members to meet project deadlines
- Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure standards are met
- Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Manage inventory of tools, parts, and materials required for daily operations
- Provide training and support to junior staff or apprentices as needed
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a workshop or manufacturing environment with hands-on mechanical knowledge
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide a team
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision whilst maintaining attention to detail
- Relevant technical qualifications or certifications are desirable but not essential
Pay: £29,579.88-£40,244.26 per year
