Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate chef to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to food safety standards. This role requires creativity and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious meals that not only satisfy but also delight our guests.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to the menu and customer preferences
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service
Assist in menu planning, including seasonal specials and dietary requirements
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on cooking techniques and food safety practices
Present dishes in an appealing manner to enhance the dining experience

Qualifications

Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment
Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in the kitchen
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
A passion for cooking and creating innovative dishes that showcase seasonal ingredients
Previous experience serving customers is advantageous but not essential
