Overview
We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Plant Fitter to join our team. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience in plant maintenance, and equipment repair. The successful candidate will gain valuable skills in mechanical systems, working closely with experienced technicians to develop their expertise. This paid apprenticeship provides an excellent opportunity to build a career in plant maintenance and engineering.

Duties

Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of plant machinery and equipment
Support
Conduct routine inspections of equipment such as excavators, forklifts, and other heavy machinery
Assist with equipment calibration, testing, and preventive maintenance programmes
Support the repair and servicing of mechanical components including gears, belts, and hydraulic systems
Maintain a clean and organised work area to ensure safety standards are met
Participate in training sessions to develop skills

Experience

No prior experience necessary; suitable candidates will be trained on the job
Basic understanding of mechanical
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic fabrication techniques is desirable
Willingness to undertake lifting and physical tasks as required
Good organisational skills with an ability to follow instructions carefully
Strong commitment to safety protocols and quality standards
