About the role
EverTrek is looking for a high-performing Content & Copy Executive to join us on a 6-month fixed-term contract to support a major content project across our website, blogs, email funnels, trip pages and customer journey.
Potential to extend: Depending on business needs and project scope
We help people take on some of the world’s most iconic adventures - from Everest Base Camp and Kilimanjaro to Machu Picchu, the Tour du Mont Blanc and beyond.
This role is about creating content that helps people feel inspired, informed and confident enough to take on the trek of a lifetime.
You’ll be writing, editing, researching, speaking to customers, gathering stories and turning real insight into useful, engaging content that sounds like EverTrek.
This is not just a “write a few blogs” role. We’re looking for someone who can get under the skin of the brand, understand our customers, and create content that supports marketing, sales and customer experience.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll be involved in:
- Writing new blog content for key trips, destinations and customer questions.
- Updating and improving existing blogs so they are accurate, useful and SEO-friendly.
- Writing email sequences for guide downloads, enquiries, webinars, competitions and trip nurture campaigns.
- Amending and creating website copy across trip pages, landing pages and customer journey touchpoints.
- Creating customer-facing guides, kit lists, FAQs, checklists and preparation content.
- Improving trip page content, including difficulty sections, route descriptions, FAQs, kit advice and “what to expect” sections.
- Repurposing webinars, live sessions and internal knowledge into blogs, emails, guides and FAQs.
- Speaking to customers to gather reviews, testimonials, stories and market research.
- Helping engage with the EverTrek community through email and Facebook group conversations, using customer questions and stories to inform future content.
- Turning customer conversations into case studies, blogs, emails, website sections and sales support content.
- Working with the marketing, sales and customer service teams to identify content gaps and common customer questions.
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who is a strong writer, a curious interviewer and a commercially-minded content creator.
You should be able to take messy information - customer interviews, old blogs, trip notes, website copy, sales feedback or webinar content and turn it into clear, useful and engaging content.
You’ll need to write in a way that feels warm, human and helpful. Not corporate. Not bland. Not generic AI-style fluff.
EverTrek has a fun, down-to-earth, adventure-loving tone, but we also deal with important customer questions around fitness, altitude, safety, preparation and confidence. So accuracy, judgement and tone really matter.
Essential skills and experience
- Excellent written English and strong editing skills.
- Experience writing blogs, website copy, emails or customer-facing marketing content.
- Confident speaking to customers by phone or video to gather stories, reviews and insights.
- Able to turn customer conversations into useful content such as blogs, guides, FAQs, case studies and email copy.
- Good understanding of how content supports enquiries, bookings, customer confidence and sales.
- Basic SEO knowledge, including search intent, keywords, headings, meta descriptions and internal linking.
- Strong attention to detail, especially when working with trip information and customer guidance.
- Comfortable improving existing copy as well as creating new content from scratch.
- Spotting commercial opportunities within our content to help improve enquiries, bookings and sales.
- Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple content tasks.
- Creative flair and the ability to make useful content engaging, distinctive and memorable.
- Comfortable using tools such as Google Docs, spreadsheets, CMS platforms and AI tools to support content creation.
Strongly preferred
A genuine passion for the outdoors, hiking, trekking, adventure travel or personal challenge experiences.
You don’t need to be a hardcore mountaineer, but you should understand why someone would dream about trekking to Everest Base Camp, climbing Kilimanjaro or walking the Tour du Mont Blanc.
Outdoor enthusiasm, curiosity and a love of real customer stories will go a long way in this role.
Preferred
- Experience in travel, outdoor, fitness, lifestyle or adventure brands.
- Experience writing email nurture sequences or sales funnel content.
- Experience creating downloadable guides, lead magnets or customer education resources.
- Experience working with a CMS / updating website copy.
- Experience gathering testimonials, reviews or customer research.
- Basic knowledge of Google Analytics, Search Console or SEO tools.
