Full job description

Job Summary
Our registered charity is looking for a a dedicated Kennel Assistant to join our team to support the day-to-day running of kennel operations, ensuring high standards of animal welfare, cleanliness and hygiene, and record-keeping, while developing the skills to take increasing operational responsibility over time. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in animal welfare and to gain practical experience with working breeds.

The job entails a 40 hour week with a shift rota.

Basic Responsibilities

To assist with maintaining a high standard of animal care and welfare for all of the charity dogs in the kennel environment.
To assist with kennel operations daily care and cleaning of animals in the kennel environment ensuring their well being and comfort.
To ensure all safety protocols are followed to prevent injury or infection.

Requirements

Confident and compassionate in handling large dog breeds to provide all of our dogs with exceptional care and understanding.
Reliable, detail orientated and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Genuine passion for animal welfare.
Physical fitness.

Pay: From £12.75 per hour
