We are currently seeking an Admissions and Applicant Enquiry Officer to join our team. This is an exciting key role where you will be supporting our applicants through the journey to becoming a BSU student.
You will lead on managing our enquiries inbox, providing key and accurate information to enquirers, as well as completing all aspects of the admissions process for a portfolio of programmes, including monitoring recruitment targets, arranging visits and interviews, assessing qualifications, making decisions on student applications and communicating with applicants
Within the role you will manage the admissions and registration process, ensuring accurate documentation and timely application processing in line with university policies.
The role involves providing professional advice and guidance to applicants, prospective students, agents, partners and staff, responding to enquiries efficiently, maintaining accurate course and entry requirement information, representing the University at recruitment events and open days, and working collaboratively with Schools and Professional Services to deliver an excellent applicant experience and achieve recruitment objectives.

Salary Grade 5 - Starting from £29,588 rising to £33,002 per annum
The salary range shows the potential maximum pay progression in addition to any annual inflationary increase to your pay. Please note that our default position is to appoint into the lower end of the range, unless there are exceptional circumstances.
Additional information
- Some out of hours working will be occasionally required, including some evenings and specific weekends during the academic year (Graduation, Registration, Confirmation & Clearing).
- Opportunities for taking annual leave during the months of August and September will be limited, and leave at other times will need to be assessed across the team so that service provision is not impacted.
Please note that as of April 2024, there has been a change in the UK’s sponsorship threshold. Regrettably as the salary for this role falls beneath this, you will not be eligible for sponsorship therefore your application will automatically be rejected.
