This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Customer Accounts professional with leadership experience, or someone ready to take the next step into a team leadership role, to build on their expertise while making a real difference to customers.
As a Customer Accounts Team Leader , you'll lead a team of Customer Account Specialists, supporting them to deliver effective, compliant services that underpin the Group's income management approach. You'll play a key role in maximising rent collection while helping to minimise financial hardship for our customers through a fair, customer-focused approach.
You'll be responsible for coaching, developing and motivating your team to achieve their full potential, managing performance, providing regular feedback and addressing underperformance where necessary. You'll set clear objectives, monitor progress and foster a culture of continuous learning, ensuring your team has the skills and knowledge needed to deliver excellent outcomes. Through your leadership, you'll drive high performance while supporting the ongoing development of the service.
We're looking for someone with experience of leading, motivating or developing others, together with a strong background in income management, debt recovery, credit control or a similar customer accounts environment. You'll have a proven track record of improving team and service performance while balancing commercial objectives with excellent customer service.
You'll also have a sound understanding of rent arrears management, relevant legislation, court processes, policies and procedures, together with a good working knowledge of Housing Benefit, Universal Credit and Welfare Reform, and the impact these have on customers.
