Job Overview
We are seeking a responsible and caring Babysitter/Nanny to provide attentive childcare and support for our family. The ideal candidate will be nurturing, reliable, and enthusiastic about fostering a safe and engaging environment for children. Duties
- Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times during scheduled hours
- Plan and organise age-appropriate activities, games, and educational exercises
- Prepare meals and snacks suitable for children’s dietary requirements
- Assist with daily routines such as dressing, bathing, and bedtime preparations
- Support children with homework or learning activities as needed
- Maintain a clean and tidy environment in the child's play and sleeping areas
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding children's behaviour, needs, and progress
- Administer basic first aid or medication in accordance with parental instructions when necessary
- Collect/Drop our child from school
Requirements
- Prior experience in childcare or babysitting is preferred but not essential; a genuine passion for working with children is essential
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multitask effectively
- Strong communication skills to liaise confidently with parents and children
- Ability to remain calm and patient in various situations
- Basic knowledge of child development principles is advantageous
- The ability to drive and owning your own car is advantageous
- Must be reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
- A valid DBS check or willingness to undergo one is required
- Flexibility to work during evenings, weekends, or occasional overnight stays as needed
