Contract Type: Full Time Permanent
Hours: 8 am to 5 pm, 42.5 hours per week

Overview

Supporting the Company's technology infrastructure by providing first-line and second-line IT support to users.

The Junior IT Analyst assists with the installation, configuration and maintenance of IT systems, provides technical support to end users, and acts as the first point of contact for day-to-day IT issues, escalating more complex problems where appropriate.

Daily Responsibilities

Provide first- and second-line IT support to users across the business.
Set up and maintain user accounts, equipment, and access permissions.
Install, configure, and support hardware and software, including laptops, desktops, printers, and peripherals.
Maintain IT documentation, asset registers, and software licensing records.
Assist with equipment procurement and liaise with third-party suppliers where required.

IT Infrastructure & Systems

Follow and promote established IT policies and procedures.
Assist with routine maintenance, including software updates, backups, and system monitoring.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve IT issues, escalating more complex incidents to senior IT staff where appropriate.
Report system issues and assist in maintaining the reliability and security of the IT environment.

Support & Communication

Function as the first point of contact for IT support requests, providing excellent customer service.
Provide guidance and basic training to users on approved hardware, software, and IT best practices.
Communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
Collaborate with colleagues and third-party providers to maintain effective IT services.

Qualifications

Essential

GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths.
Passion for IT and technology.
Excellent customer service skills.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365.
Ability to communicate technical knowledge to non-technical users of all levels.

Desirable

CompTIA A+
Microsoft Fundamentals
