We are looking for a Market Research Executive to join our Data Science & Insights team on a 6-month fixed-term contract (maternity cover) .
This is an exciting opportunity for a curious and commercially minded researcher who loves uncovering the story behind the data. If you thrive in a fast-moving environment, enjoy being part of meaningful business conversations, and want the freedom to lead projects from concept to insight, this could be the perfect role for you.
You'll take ownership of the full research lifecycle, from designing quantitative surveys and writing survey scripts to analysing results and presenting compelling findings to stakeholders. No two days are the same. One day you could be running customer research to understand emerging trends, and the next you could be investigating competitor activity, exploring market opportunities, or using data to help shape strategic decisions across the business.
We're looking for someone who can blend creativity with analytical thinking and isn't afraid to challenge assumptions or ask the right questions. Your technical expertise in Advanced Excel, Q, SmartSurvey, and AI-powered research tools will help you turn complex data into clear, actionable insights, while your storytelling skills will bring those insights to life through engaging presentations and reports.
You'll be joining a team that puts insight at the heart of decision-making. The Data Science & Insights Team is a trusted partner across the organisation, delivering high-quality research, market intelligence, and evidence-based recommendations that influence strategy and drive business success. It's a collaborative, supportive environment where best practice is championed, innovation is encouraged, and great ideas are always welcome.
If you're passionate about research, excited by variety, and motivated by the impact your work can have, we'd love to hear from you.
Although this role is contractually based at our Cambridge office, however we are currently embracing hybrid working, and therefore you will have the opportunity to also work mostly from a UK location other than this, as agreed with your line manager. Undertake project work that supports the RSC’s strategic priorities, applying market research expertise and a proactive approach to problem-solving to deliver practical outcomes.
