Cambridge Cobras Women FC are looking for a talented and passionate Creative Filmmaker / Videographer to help tell the story of our women’s team.
After a title-winning season, we are entering an exciting new chapter as Cambridge Cobras Women FC. We want to capture the energy, personality and ambition of the team as we continue to grow women’s football in Cambridge.
This paid role is ideal for someone who can create engaging video content for social media, matchday coverage, player features, recruitment, sponsorship and club promotion.
We are looking for someone with a strong eye for storytelling, good technical skills and a genuine interest in women’s football.
Responsibilities
- Film women’s football matches, training sessions, interviews and behind-the-scenes content.
- Create short-form video content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and other digital platforms.
- Edit engaging videos that capture the emotion, intensity and personality of the team.
- Produce matchday highlights, player features, promotional videos and recruitment content.
- Support the growth of the Cambridge Cobras Women FC brand.
- Work with club staff, players and volunteers to develop creative content ideas.
- Capture content that can support sponsorship, recruitment and community engagement.
- Manage post-production, including editing, colour grading, sound, captions and platform optimisation.
- Keep footage and project files organised for future use.
- Stay up to date with trends in sports media, women’s football content and short-form video storytelling.
Skills and experience
Essential:
- Experience filming and editing video content.
- Confidence filming live action, interviews and behind-the-scenes moments.
- Strong understanding of storytelling and audience engagement.
- Ability to create content for different digital platforms, especially short-form social media.
- Good technical knowledge of cameras, audio and basic lighting.
- Experience using editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve or similar.
- Strong organisation and ability to work to deadlines.
- Reliable, proactive and creative approach.
- Genuine interest in women’s football and growing the visibility of female athletes.
Desirable:
- Experience filming football or other team sports.
- Photography skills.
- Basic motion graphics or animation skills.
- Experience with Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator or Canva.
- Understanding of social media trends and sports content formats.

Requirements
- Own camera/video equipment preferred.
- Ability to travel to matches, training sessions and content days in or around Cambridge.
- Availability for some evenings and weekends.
- Portfolio, showreel or examples of previous work required.
