Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Female Care Worker to provide high-quality support and assistance to our clients in a variety of settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and private homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care, dementia care, and medication administration, demonstrating a genuine commitment to enhancing the wellbeing and independence of those in their care. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through personalised caregiving.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support
Provide specialised care for individuals with Alzheimer's, dementia, or other cognitive impairments
Support patients with medication administration following prescribed protocols
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional wellbeing
Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
Support clients with mobility, including heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring safety at all times
Drive clients to appointments or outings as required, maintaining safe driving practices
Manage behaviour effectively through compassionate behaviour management techniques
Respond promptly to emergencies using first aid skills when needed

Skills

Proven experience in assisted living, home care, or nursing home environments
Strong knowledge of patient care procedures and caregiving best practices
Experience in Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, hospice care, or senior care is highly desirable
Ability to perform first aid confidently and respond effectively during emergencies
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with clients
Capable of heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with caregiving duties
Valid driving licence for transporting clients safely when required
Organised with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for others

Pay: £12.71-£19.18 per hour
