Full job description:

Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where safety, teamwork and great customer service come first? Are you passionate about helping people stay active and safe while enjoying their leisure time?

We are looking for enthusiastic and customer-focused Lifeguards/Leisure Assistants to join our Thanet teams at Ramsgate and BlueWave and Hartsdown Leisure Centres.

At Your Leisure, our mission is simple: to improve the health, wellbeing, and lifestyle of everyone within our communities, supporting people to LiveBetter with Your Leisure. Our teams play a vital role in ensuring our facilities are safe, welcoming, and enjoyable for everyone who visits.

The Role

As a Lifeguard/Leisure Assistant, you will help ensure the safety and enjoyment of customers using our facilities while always delivering excellent customer service.

Your responsibilities will include:

Supervising pool and facility areas to ensure customer safety
Providing excellent customer service and support to visitors
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
Supporting the day-to-day operation of the centre
Helping create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all

Essential Requirements

Applicants must:

Hold a current NPLQ (National Pool Lifeguard Qualification), or be willing and able to complete the qualification* (*strong swimmer - timed swim will be part of the pre-selection)
Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills
Be reliable, enthusiastic, and able to work as part of a team
