Full job description

Overview:

QA Auditor

Humdinger, Heckington, NG34 9JH

Are you passionate about food quality, food safety and continuous improvement? Join our Technical team and play a key role in ensuring our products consistently meet the highest standards of quality, safety and customer expectations.

As a Quality Assurance Auditor, you will help maintain an audit-ready manufacturing environment, identify opportunities for improvement and support investigations that protect both product quality and customer confidence.

Position type: Permanent Full-Time

Hours: 36

Shift Pattern: 3 on 4 off, Monday - Saturday, 18:00 - 06:00

Pay range: £16.17 per hour

Breaks: 3 x 20 minute paid

Closing Date: Friday 21st August 2026

Responsibilities:

Conduct internal & external audits including GMP, hygiene, pest control, glass and hard plastics audits.
Identify non-conformances and support corrective action completion.
Complete environmental monitoring, hand swabs, rapid swabs and water sampling.
Review product specifications, testing results and quality documentation.
Investigate customer complaints and foreign body incidents using root cause analysis.
Support traceability exercises and quality management system compliance.
Participate in taste panels and finished product assessments.
Work closely with Production, Engineering, NPD and wider business functions.

Qualifications:

Quality Auditor experience in a food manufacturing environment is essential.
Strong focus on product quality and following procedures.
Excellent attention to detail and clear communication.
Team-oriented, supportive and able to work collaboratively.
Confident in challenging non‑compliance with solid problem‑solving ability.
Competent IT skills, including strong use of Microsoft Office.
Food Hygiene Level 2 and HACCP Level 2
