Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board is seeking to appoint a Consultant Physician in General Medicine based at the Wrexham Maelor Hospital. This is an opportunity to join an organisation in which Clinicians are at the forefront of management.
This post is to support the development of medical services and contribute to the general medical on call rota. The successful candidate will be encouraged to develop a special interest to complement those of our other departments.
Ongoing medical care of patients admitted to Wrexham Maelor Hospital.
Support the Ambulatory Care Service and undertake outpatient clinic work depending on the clinician’s specialty interest.
There is the opportunity to take on additional clinical duties and lead roles, depending on interest.
T here is also a requirement to undertake on call for the medical take on a one in twelve (1:12) rotation.
A comprehensive inpatient and outpatient service.
Professional supervision and teaching of junior medical staff.
Contributions to local undergraduate and postgraduate activity.
Participation in clinical audit, continuing professional development and clinical governance activities on a local, Health Board and all Wales basis.
Development of research and professional interests.
