Host or Reservations Manager

Salary up to £40,000 per year, depending on experience
We are looking for an experienced, confident and highly organised Host or Reservations Manager to join the front-of-house team at Thomas The Brasserie.
This is a key position within the restaurant, responsible for managing the full guest journey from the initial enquiry and reservation through to arrival, seating and departure.
You will be the first point of contact for many of our guests and will play an important role in ensuring every service feels organised, personal and welcoming.
Key responsibilities
- Managing all restaurant reservations, enquiries and booking amendments
- Overseeing the reservations diary and maximising table availability
- Managing telephone, email and online enquiries
- Greeting guests and managing arrivals
- Creating and overseeing table plans for each service
- Communicating guest notes, allergies, celebrations and special requests to the wider team
- Managing waiting lists, cancellations and last-minute bookings
- Coordinating private dining and larger group enquiries
- Building relationships with regular guests
- Supporting the management team throughout service
- Ensuring the entrance, reception and guest-facing areas are always presented to a high standard
- Helping to train and develop other team members in reservations and hosting standards
About you
You will be warm, professional and naturally confident with guests. You should be able to remain calm and organised during busy services while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
Previous experience in a high-quality restaurant, hotel or hospitality environment is essential. Experience with SevenRooms or a similar reservation system would be an advantage.
