Are you passionate about sport and enthusiastic about inspiring young people? First Kick is looking for energetic and dedicated Sports Coaches to join our team for our exciting Summer Holiday Camps in Cardiff.
This is a fantastic opportunity for aspiring coaches, teachers, students, and sports professionals to gain valuable experience while making a positive impact on primary school-aged children through sport and physical activity.
The Role
As a Sports Coach, you will be responsible for delivering fun, engaging, and inclusive sports activities for children aged 5–11 years. You will help create a safe, supportive, and enjoyable environment where children can develop their skills, confidence, and love of sport.
Key Responsibilities
- Organise and lead a variety of sports and physical activity sessions.
- Deliver engaging coaching sessions suitable for primary school-aged children.
- Promote participation, teamwork, and personal development.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children at all times.
- Work collaboratively with fellow camp staff to create an exceptional camp experience.
- Maintain high standards of professionalism and safeguarding throughout camp operations.

Essential Requirements
As our camps are Ofsted registered, applicants must have:
- A valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate, or be willing to obtain one.
- A recognised sports coaching qualification, or be actively working towards one.
- A Safeguarding and First Aid qualification, or be willing to obtain these before employment.
- Experience coaching or working with children in a sporting environment (desirable but not essential).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A positive, enthusiastic, and professional attitude.
- Availability between 8:00am and 5:00pm during the summer holiday period.
Desirable Requirements
- Availability throughout the full six-week summer holiday programme.
- Flexibility to work across multiple camp dates.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Experience leading coaching staff or managing sports programmes.
