YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:
- Manage the financial control of a slate of productions or provide dedicated support to more complex titles, ensuring accurate budgeting throughout the lifecycle.
- Deliver timely, reliable financial information, including regular cost reports, forecasts, Budgeting accruals and commitments to support effective decision making.
- Monitor expenditure against budget, highlight potential overspends, and ensure accurate reflection of costs within BBC accounting systems.
- Maintain strong controls and compliance by completing statutory returns, managing audit trails, handling location banking, and adhering to BBC policies.
- Support continuous improvement within Finance, ensuring best practice is adopted and developing own skills to meet future career needs.
- Partner closely with non-finance production colleagues to support their use of accounting systems and processes, providing guidance and training where required to ensure accurate financial management.
- Translate financial information into clear, accessible insights for non-finance stakeholders to support informed decision-making
