About the Role
CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is looking for a skilled FabricTechnician to join our team in Derby . This is an excellentopportunity for a hands-on maintenance professional with experience in buildingfabric maintenance , carpentry , painting and decorating , and generalrepairs . In this role, you will support the safe, efficient, andhigh-quality upkeep of a client site, completing both planned and reactivemaintenance tasks while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Completerepairs to doors, walls, ceilings, floors, fixtures, and fittings, includingminor carpentry and fabric works.
Undertakepainting, decorating, patch repairs, and general building maintenance tasks toa high standard.
Supportminor plumbing works, basic lighting maintenance, filter changes, and othergeneral site maintenance activities.
Inspectsite conditions, identify defects, and produce clear reports, risk assessments,and method statements where required.
UsePDA or maintenance systems to accurately record work completed, updates, andfollow-up actions.
Liaiseprofessionally with client representatives, contractors, and colleagues toensure a high level of service delivery.
Carryout all tasks safely and in line with health and safety procedures, includingCOSHH, working at height, and safe systems of work.
Skills and Experience Required
Strongpractical skills in carpentry, building fabric repairs, painting anddecorating, and general maintenance.
Experienceworking with fire doors and an understanding of building compliancerequirements.
City& Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent qualification in carpentry or a related tradeis preferred.
Experienceworking in commercial, corporate, or high-profile environments is advantageous.
GoodIT skills, including the ability to use mobile devices or maintenancemanagement systems.
Strongcommunication and customer service skills with a professional approach.
Abilityto read and follow technical drawings, instructions, and safe workingprocedures.
Goodunderstanding of health and safety regulations, including COSHH, riskassessments, and working at height.
FullUK driving licence.
