The Role

Commercial & Rural Account Executive
Salary dependant on experience
From 30 – 37.5 hours per week (between Monday to Friday 8.30am-5pm)
Permanent Contract
Location: Carlisle Agency Office at Warwick Bridge

Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has now arisen within the Carlisle Agency.

About the role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Account Executive to join our growing team in Carlisle.

This is a relationship-led sales role focusing primarily on developing new business opportunities across our farming and commercial client base. You'll spend time getting to know customers, understanding their businesses and identifying the right insurance and risk management solutions to meet their needs.

Working both in the office and out meeting customers, you'll build and maintain strong relationships, generate new business opportunities, prepare and present quotations, and work closely with colleagues to deliver the personal service for which NFU Mutual is renowned.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys meeting people, developing business and becoming a trusted adviser within the local community.

About you

We're looking for someone who enjoys building relationships and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service.

You may already have insurance experience, but we're equally interested in hearing from people with a successful background in sales, account management or other customer-focused roles.

You'll have:

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

A proactive and self-motivated approach to business development

Confidence meeting customers face-to-face and identifying new opportunities

Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload

Good attention to detail and a commitment to delivering a high standard of service

Competence using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook and Excel

A full UK driving licence

Experience within insurance, farming, agriculture or commercial business sectors would be advantageous but is not essential.
