We are looking for an Assembly Operative to join our production team in Carlisle.
This is a practical, hands-on role where you will be assembling doors and fitting components as part of our Final Assembly team. Working from production drawings and manufacturing instructions, you will help ensure every door is built to the high standards our customers expect.
Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, construction, joinery or another practical role would be an advantage, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.
What you'll be doing
- Assembling door components and hardware in line with production drawings and manufacturing instructions.
- Fitting items such as hinges, locks, handles, seals and other components.
- Using hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment safely and effectively.
- Carrying out quality checks to ensure finished products meet the required standard.
- Reading and following production drawings, specifications and work instructions.
- Working with colleagues to meet production targets and delivery schedules.
- Keeping your work area clean, organised and safe.
- Supporting other production departments when required.
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, assembly, construction, joinery or similar environment would be beneficial.
- Comfortable using hand and power tools.
- Good attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.
- Ability to follow drawings, instructions and procedures.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Reliable, punctual and dependable.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible approach and willingness to work overtime when required.
