Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and friendly Kitchen Assistant/Bar Staff to join our vibrant hospitality team. This role involves supporting the kitchen operations and providing excellent service to our guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, good organisational skills, and a positive attitude. The position offers an opportunity to develop hospitality skills in a dynamic environment, ensuring guests enjoy a memorable experience.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and presentation of food and beverages in accordance with health and safety standards
Serve drinks and food to customers in a courteous and efficient manner
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and bar areas
Restock supplies and ensure all equipment is functioning correctly
Follow food safety procedures at all times, including proper handling and storage of ingredients
Support the team during busy periods by managing multiple tasks effectively
Ensure compliance with licensing laws and responsible serving policies
Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system
Contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere for all guests

Requirements

Previous experience in hospitality, food service, or restaurant environments is desirable but not essential as training will be provided
Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible serving practices
Excellent organisational skills with strong time management abilities
Basic maths skills for handling transactions and stock counts
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods
Friendly, approachable manner with good communication skills
Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
