Job Title: Nursery Leader.
Location: Tedi Bach Flying Start.
Salary: £14.21 P/H.
Contracted Hours: 30 hours per week. Mon-Fri Term Time Only As per FS requirements
Contract: Permanent (As per FS Contract)

Nursery Leader Person Specification:
·To provide and co-ordinate a Nursery provision for children aged 2 to 3 years in the Flying Start area includes attending Providers meetings on behalf the setting
- Hold the relevant Qualifications in Early Years/ Childcare Learning and Development Minimum Level 5
- A minimum of 2 years-experience of working within a Childcare setting
- Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation stage / Curriculum of Wales / CIW regulations and inspection criteria
- To make sure children experience a wide range of creative and experimental play opportunities in a safe and welcoming environment.
- To ensure a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for all children in their care
· Ensure an effective partnership is developed between the home, the childcare setting and with other organisations/ services in the Flying Start programme.

- To ensure all children are safeguarded and their welfare and safety is promoted
- To work as part of a team to provide an enabling environment in which all individual children can play, learn and develop.
- Have an awareness of Health & Safety Legislation, Equal Opportunities and
Safeguarding
- Excellent Communication skills through the medium of Welsh
- The ability to motivate and support staff
- Problem-solving skills, punctual, reliable
- Have empathy and understanding of families within the Community
- The ability to use your own judgement to make decisions
- Organizational skills and financial management skills
- Car driver/ Welsh speaker is desirable for this post
