Domestic Assistant

Location: Dolphinlee House, Patterdale Road, Lancaster LA1 3LZ
Hours: 17.5 hours per week, 14:00-19:00
Hourly Rate: £13.45 per hour

About the Role

We are looking for a dependable and detail‑focused Domestic Assistant to join our team at Dolphinlee House. You will play an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will take pride in their work and be committed to delivering high standards of cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities

Perform general cleaning duties across the building, including communal areas, offices, bathrooms, corridors, and resident areas.
Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, and polish surfaces as required.
Clean bathrooms and toilets to a high standard, ensuring hygiene and safety at all times.
Replace consumables such as soap, towels, and toilet paper.
Empty bins and manage waste disposal in line with organisational procedures.
Follow designated cleaning schedules and maintain appropriate cleaning records.
Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and in accordance with training.
Report maintenance issues or concerns promptly to the management team.

Job Description and Person Specification

Essential:

Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Reliable, punctual, and professional.

Desirable:

Previous cleaning or domestic experience.

Working Hours:

Total weekly working hours: 17.5 hours

Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday

Week 2: Thursday, Friday

Pay & Benefits:

£13.45 per hour
