Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Drainage and Civils Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be Chartered, or near to Chartered status and will have a strong background in drainage design engineering, with expertise in the use of relevant design software (Causeway PDS, Civils3D, GIS, etc.), AutoCad, and Microsoft Office. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of complex engineering projects, contributing to innovative designs and solutions that meet our client's specifications and industry standards.
Duties
- Lead the design and analysis of drainage and civils solutions for various projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- Utilise software such as Causeway PDS/Live Design and AutoCAD to create detailed designs and documentation.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to develop integrated project designs.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints.
- Conduct site visits to assess project progress and resolve any issues that arise during construction.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices in design and project management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Chartered Engineer status is highly desirable, but candidates close to Chartered status will be considered.
- Proven experience in drainage design, to UK design standards, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Proficiency in design software and Microsoft Office.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead teams effectively.
- Excellent analytical skills with a solid understanding of design and legislative codes.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
