Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Surface Mount Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role involves operating surface mount technology (SMT) machinery to assemble electronic circuits with precision and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, along with experience in assembly processes. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to develop their skills within a dynamic production environment.
Responsibilities
- Running a Surface Mount assembly line to production schedule
- Surface mount assembly of printed circuit boards (PCB’s), including loading components, solder paste printing, solder paste inspection pick and place and solder reflow
- Inspection prior and post reflow
- Interpret documentation including parts lists, drawings, XY data
- Follow documented procedures.
- Preventative maintenance tasks and general housekeeping of the SMT work area.
- Ensure all work carried out is completed to specified levels of acceptable workmanship.
- Ensure all work is carried out and completed in a timely fashion.
- Report any problems with products or process to the Production Manager.
- Operate within KPI targets set by the Production Manager.
