As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to help us strengthen our service and support the lead veterinary surgeon.
Role overview:
We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join our friendly and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of an independent practice where patient care and client relationships are at the heart of everything we do. The successful candidate will work closely with our Lead Veterinary Surgeon, providing high-quality nursing care and contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.
Job Summary:
The Registered Veterinary Nurse will play a key role in delivering exceptional clinical care to our patients and providing excellent support to our veterinary team and clients. The position offers a varied caseload across both branches and would suit an individual who enjoys all aspects of veterinary nursing and thrives in a close-knit, community-focused environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinary surgeons with consultations, procedures and surgeries.
- Provide high standards of inpatient care and monitoring.
- Carry out nurse consultations, including weight clinics, post-operative checks and preventative healthcare advice.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Prepare and maintain surgical equipment and clinical areas.
- Undertake laboratory work, diagnostic imaging and sample processing where required.
- Deliver excellent client care and provide clear advice and support to pet owners.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure compliance with RCVS standards.
- Assist with stock control and general practice administration.
- Contribute positively to the development of the practice and support colleagues across both sites.
Requirements / Experience:
- Qualified and registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) as a Registered Veterinary Nurse.
- Previous experience in a small animal practice is desirable but newly qualified nurses are also encouraged to apply.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
