We are seeking an experienced and reliable 360 Excavator Driver to operate a 50-tonne excavator on a variety of construction, civil engineering, demolition, and earthworks projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating heavy machinery while maintaining high standards of safety, productivity, and workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a 50-tonne 360 excavator safely and efficiently.
- Carry out excavation, grading, trenching, bulk earthworks, and material handling tasks.
- Follow site plans, drawings, and supervisor instructions.
- Conduct daily pre-start inspections and routine maintenance checks on equipment.
- Report defects, damage, or maintenance requirements promptly.
- Work closely with site managers, groundworkers, and other plant operators.
- Ensure compliance with all site health and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and safe working area.
- Assist with other site duties when required.
Requirements
- Valid CPCS or NPORS 360 Excavator Operator certification.
- Proven experience operating 50-tonne excavators.
- Good understanding of excavation and lifting operations.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations within construction environments.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
Desirable Qualifications
- Lifting Operations endorsement.
- Safety Critical Medical.
- CSCS card.
- CPCS
- Experience in civil engineering, demolition, quarrying, or large-scale earthworks projects.
