Full job description

We are seeking a HR Recruitment & Training Lead to join our team. This is a great opportunity to work across the CTI Group and its businesses to help determine our resourcing requirements and assist with attracting, selecting and training our people.

Key duties of the role include:

Recruitment and Selection

Coordinate the recruitment process from vacancy approval through to offer and onboarding.
Act as the primary point of contact for approved vacancies supporting hiring managers and all referred candidates during the recruitment process
Post job adverts on careers pages, job boards, social media and other relevant platforms ensuring he most appropriate advertising mediums are used to attract candidates
Work with existing and new identified external partners across a broad range of recruitment and selection providers i.e. recruitment agencies, job boards, social medica etc.
Monitor applications, screen CVs and support hiring managers with shortlisting.
Arrange interviews, prepare interview packs and communicate interview details to candidates and managers.
Act as a first point of contact for candidates, providing timely updates and a positive candidate experience.
Prepare recruitment documentation including offer letters, contracts and onboarding information.
Complete pre-employment checks, including right to work checks, references and any role-specific screening requirements.
Maintain accurate recruitment records, applicant tracking information and HR system data.
Support recruitment reporting, including vacancy updates, time-to-hire and source-of-hire information.
Work closely with HR colleagues and hiring managers to improve recruitment processes and employer branding activity.
Work with the HR team and key business stakeholders to understand required, current and future demand for resourcing requirements

Training and Development

Ensure contents of HR induction programme are maintained so current and relevant.
Utilise the Group Company Apprentice Levy in accordance with departmental process.
Ensure training processes are correctly applied and followed, e.g. authorisation, identification of training courses, course bookings, evaluation and undertake as necessary.
Support training and development practices, collating and planning for training requirements highlighted following individual Performance & Development Reviews being submitted to the Department
Update internal training records across system platforms i.e. Equator, Job Logic, vision as necessary.
Selecting the most appropriate training methods and activities
Providing vital information about training sessions and informing personnel about available training
Liaising with management and customer service to create annual training plans
Researching and recommending new training techniques to HR, creating the curriculum and updating it to reflect developments within the industry

What we are looking for:

Previous experience in the service / engineering industry, recruiting specifically for engineers, but also more senior roles.
Past experience of the interview and selection process, within either a recruitment or HR department environment, and a clear understanding of the importance of complying with legal obligations and the promotion of equal opportunities.
Experience of managing campaigns and work assignments, taking into account changes in circumstances and the working environment.
Good IT skills; ability to use Microsoft Office packages including Work, Excel and Outlook & HRIS systems.
Excellent organisational skills, in order to manage work to meet conflicting deadlines.
High level of attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, in person, by telephone and in email
Exceptional time management & organisational skills, has the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
A friendly professional manner and appearance
Good understanding of confidentiality, data protection and the importance of fair recruitment practices.
Ability to build positive working relationships with candidates, managers and colleagues.
A proactive, flexible and solutions-focused attitude

Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
