MEP Project Manager

Work Location: Cardiff / Hybrid

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time

Salary: £75,000 to £85,000

About the Opportunity:

We are currently recruiting for an experienced MEP Project Manager with a strong mechanical, piping and/or structural bias to join a leading engineering organisation delivering complex industrial and energy projects across the UK.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in multidisciplinary MEP delivery, particularly within mechanical-led building services, process, energy or industrial environments, who is looking to take ownership of high-value engineering projects from concept through to completion.

You will be a delivery-focused MEP professional with a strong mechanical or piping background, comfortable managing complex engineering interfaces and driving projects through to successful completion. You will be confident operating in fast-paced project environments and coordinating multiple disciplines to achieve programme and commercial targets.

MEP Project Manager - Key Responsibilities:

Lead the delivery of complex MEP projects with a strong mechanical and piping focus
Manage full project lifecycle including design coordination, procurement, installation, commissioning and handover
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, electrical, structural and specialist subcontractors
Oversee project programmes, budgets, risk management and resource planning
Ensure all works are delivered in line with health & safety, quality and compliance standards
Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications and design documentation
Manage client and stakeholder relationships throughout project delivery
Support commissioning activities and ensure successful project close-out and handover documentation
Drive value engineering opportunities and resolve technical delivery issues on site

Your Skills and Experience:

Proven experience as an MEP Project Manager, Mechanical Project Manager or Building Services Project Manager
Strong mechanical, piping or process systems bias (HVAC, pipework, plant, utilities or industrial systems)
Experience delivering multi-disciplinary MEP projects in industrial, energy, infrastructure or complex building environments
Strong understanding of construction sequencing, installation methodology and commissioning processes
Ability to manage subcontractors, programmes and project controls effectively
Confident working with technical drawings, specifications and site teams
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Background in MEP / industrial / engineering contractor environments
