Full job description

Ensure high standards of customer service at all times and ensure that personal and facility presentation is maintained at all times.

Pass any comments or concerns either verbal or written from facility users back to line manager.

To actively and positively promote centre services by ensuring all areas are prepared and presented to optimal standards.

Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislations and ensure they operate throughout the work area.

Lifeguard the pool area as requires in the centre’s PSOP and attend the ongoing NPLQ training.

To ensure that you are aware of Emergency Action plans and be competent to implement emergency action if required in accordance with the emergency action plan.

Report any Health and Safety issues to Line Manager, and ensure that health and safety policy is adhered to at all times

Take reasonable care of your own safety and of others and fully comply with Nuffield Health’s health and safety policies and procedures.

To set up & put away equipment in-line with normal operating procedures and work instructions, ensuring tasks are completed promptly to aid the smooth running of the daily activity timetable

To undertake any cleaning and maintaining of equipment that may be required, in line with the manufacturer’s guidelines. Also, that all areas of the facility are presented in the highest standards, including changing facilities and toilets.

To maintain a pro-active approach to ongoing personal and team development training.

To support the development of centre activities in general by undertaking any other duties that may be required which are commensurate with the level of the post, include teaching of swimming lessons.

To assist the Senior Recreation Assistant and Duty Manager with the allocation of changing facilities for all bookings, including: clear signage for changing room allocations and checking changing rooms after use.

To react to programme, activity and staffing changes immediately to facilitate the smooth running to the shift.

To ensure cleaning tasks are completed to a high standard in accordance with the cleaning plan.

To ensure all equipment and cleaning stores are clean and tidy in accordance with the store plans.

Contribute to continuous improvement of the service including any internal and external assessments.

To ensure you report for duties promptly.

To ensure you adhere to the rules concerning appearance, uniform, drinks bottles and footwear as agreed for particular tasks.

To have a proactive approach to all areas of training and take an active and positive role in the delivery of classes and or training as required or identified by the Line Manager.

Any other duties commensurate with the role.

Pay: £24,784.50 per year
