Overview
-
To manage the maintenance and operation of blending & extraction instrumentation to enable high standards of analytical preparation, ensuring that requirements of ISO 17025 (accredited by UKAS) are met.

Manage and supervise a team of technicians, including scheduling, workload allocation, and performance monitoring, driving performance, compliance, and continuous improvement

Lead and support a team of technicians within the Blending and extraction lab

Oversee calibration of equipment and quality requirements are met in the department.

Manage inventory of consumables, reagents, and spare parts to ensure uninterrupted operations.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Quality Assurance, R&D, or Production to support business goals
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this role is someone who has experience already in a senior lab position and looking to take their next step up, or a junior team leader looking for a better fit!

Degree level qualified in Chemistry

Experience with working in a contract laboratory

Experience in working in a high volume turnaround environment
