We are seeking a dedicated Dog Day Care Assistant to join our vibrant team. Responsibilities
- Supervising dogs during playtime and rest periods to ensure safety and positive behaviour
- Assisting with feeding, watering, and administering medication as required
- Cleaning kennels, play areas, and equipment to maintain hygiene standards
- Monitoring dogs for signs of distress or illness and reporting concerns to senior staff
- Engaging with pet owners to provide updates on their dogs’ wellbeing and answer questions
- Assisting with organisational tasks such as scheduling appointments and maintaining records
- Handling physical tasks including lifting heavy items such as bags of dog food or equipment when necessary
Experience
- Previous veterinary experience or background in animal care is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners
- Experience working with dogs or other animals in a professional setting is preferred
- Physical fitness to perform heavy lifting and active supervision throughout the day
- A genuine passion for animals and commitment to their welfare is essential

Pay: £12.75-£60,839.69 per hour
