Full job description

Location: Yeovil, Bristol however National with travel to various sites within the UK
Salary: £40,000 circa
Progression: Senior Health & Safety Trainer

Overview of responsibilities

Our clients range from construction, utilities, nuclear and technology leaders, through to global corporate companies. The services provided range from full health and safety strategy, to designing and implementing audit programs and acting as competent advice.

Responsibilities of the Health & Safety Trainer will include:

Facilitate sessions at training centres, client sites nationwide, or remotely via Teams/Zoom
Deliver accredited courses such as IOSH, CITB, Highfield, BOHS, ECITB, IATP, EUSR, and more.
Prepare course materials, venues, and training aids for upcoming courses.
Maintain records of the courses you’ve delivered, ensuring that you comply with the requirements of the designated scheme.
Provide peer support to fellow trainers and conduct practice observations.
Assist in the development of both existing and new training materials.
Maintain high-quality delivery standards and ensure client satisfaction
Collaborate with colleagues to provide a consistent and professional training service

Skills & Knowledge

The Health & Safety Trainer will have:

Proven health and safety experience, ideally with medium and higher risk industries. (Mandatory)
NEBOSH General certificate (Mandatory)
Level 3 award in Education and Training (AET) or equivalent (Mandatory)
Membership of IOSH (Minimum of TechIOSH) (Mandatory)
NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety (Desirable)
BOHS P405 Management of Asbestos in Buildings (Desirable)

Ability to demonstrate flexibility / versatility combined with initiative, drive and tenacity to deliver objectives.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with personnel at all levels of the organisation, creating engagement and support.

Ability to challenge poor performance and approach difficult conversations in an appropriate and engaging manner.
