Job Description
Jack Wills is back.
As part of Frasers Group, we are on an exciting journey to re-establish Jack Wills as the go-to British lifestyle brand - combining our heritage of quality, authenticity and effortless style with a fresh, modern perspective. Based in our creative London design studio, you'll be part of a close-knit, passionate team working collaboratively to shape the future of the brand, while partnering closely with the wider Frasers Group teams at our head office in Shirebrook.

The Role:
We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Junior Designer to support the design and development of Jack Wills collections across multiple product categories.
Reporting to the Senior Designer, you will play an integral role in creating both seasonal collections and commercially successful core product. You'll be involved throughout the design process - from initial concept and trend research through to development, fittings and production - working alongside our Design, Buying and Technical teams to deliver exceptional product.
This role is ideal for someone who is highly organised, commercially minded and genuinely passionate about fashion design. We want someone who is curious, proactive and eager to contribute ideas while supporting the wider team.
Key Responsibilities:

Support the design and development of collections across multiple product categories.

Research seasonal trends, competitor brands and the wider market to identify key trends, colours, fabrics, silhouettes and product opportunities.

Create inspiring mood boards, trend presentations and customer-focused design concepts.

Produce accurate CADs, technical drawings and specification packs to support product development.

Assist with fabric, trim and garment sourcing to ensure the best commercial and quality outcomes.

Work closely with Design, Buying and Technical teams to develop commercially successful products that meet customer and business requirements.

Communicate daily with overseas factories to manage developments, approvals and critical path timelines.

Review samples and provide clear development comments to suppliers throughout the product lifecycle.

Participate in fit sessions alongside the Garment Technology team, contributing to product improvements and fit refinement.

Manage samples efficiently throughout the development process, ensuring they are organised and available for meetings, fittings and presentations.

Support the preparation of range reviews and internal sign-off meetings.

Contribute positively to the creative culture of the design team, bringing enthusiasm, ideas and a collaborative approach every day.
Qualifications

You'll be passionate about fashion, excited by product and genuinely invested in creating collections that customers love. You enjoy working as part of a team, take pride in the smallest details and are always willing to roll your sleeves up to get the job done.

Previous experience in a fashion design role within a retailer or supplier.

A genuine passion for product, design and the fashion industry.

Experience designing across multiple product categories would be advantageous.

Excellent Adobe Creative Suite skills, particularly Illustrator.

Strong CAD and technical drawing skills.

Good commercial awareness with an understanding of the UK high street and contemporary retail market.

Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong communication and presentation skills.

A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the confidence to take initiative.

A positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop.

AI design tools or generative AI experience would be advantageous, but is not essential.
