Summary
Are you an experienced hairdressing professional with a passion for developing people and delivering outstanding training? We're looking for a dynamic Hairdressing Training Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated leader who thrives on improving quality, supporting staff development, and building strong relationships with employers and stakeholders.
You will be responsible for overseeing the quality of our hairdressing training provision, ensuring learners receive an exceptional learning experience while meeting awarding body and funding requirements.
Working closely with the Director of Hair & Beauty, you will monitor performance, implement quality improvements, and support the professional development of the team across our centres in Essex and Hertfordshire.
Responsibilities
- Monitor performance, quality assurance, and compliance across the department.
- Report regularly to the Director of Hair & Beauty on quality, performance, and key outcomes.
- Support, coach, and line manage Hairdressing Team Leaders to achieve outstanding results.
- Ensure all training meets awarding organisation standards and funding compliance requirements.
- Conduct quality observations, standardisation activities, and continuous improvement planning.
- Liaise professionally with employers to ensure apprentices and learners receive high-quality training and support.
- Resolve issues effectively, providing practical solutions to challenges as they arise.
- Support learner achievement, progression and positive outcomes.
Essential Requirements/Qualifications Required:
- Level 3 vocational qualification in Hairdressing
- Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) Qualification
- Assessor Award (TAQA/A1/D32/D33 or equivalent)
- Functional Skills English and Maths at Level 2 or a willingness to achieve these qualifications.
- Current occupational competence and up to date commerical hairdressing skills.
- Excellent understanding of awarding body requirements
- Strong knowledge of apprenticeship funding rules and compliance.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
- Confident using technology, digital platforms and management information systems.

Working hours:
Monday to Wednesday 8.45 - 5.15 pm
Please note: actual salary pro rata based on 24 hours per week.
Pay: Up to £42,000.00 per year
